Renee began working at HB Retirement in 2016. She joined the company with 10 years of industry experience. Her areas of experience include client service needs, financial transactions, meeting preparation and documentation processing. Renee studied social work at Seton Hill University. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage sons. Outside of work, her hobbies include skiing and volunteering with the local Boy Scout troop and high school Music Boosters program.

Amanda began working at HB Retirement in 2014. She joined the company with an administrative and school business background. Her areas of experience include commissions, invoicing, and plan administration. She studied business management at Point Park University. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Max began working at HB Retirement in 2008. He joined the company after working in wealth management for several years. His area of experience includes wealth management client services and compliance. He studied finance and investment management at Duquesne University. Max is married with three sons. He enjoys watching his boys play travel baseball, basketball and track.

Arleen began working at HB Retirement in 2015. She joined the company with experience in marketing and meeting and event planning. Her areas of expertise include planning and organization. She studied communications at the University of Pittsburgh. Arleen is married and enjoys spending time with her family. Outside of work, she loves traveling, cooking and winter sports.

Jesse joined HB Retirement in 2024, bringing a diverse background in education, legal support, and nonprofit leadership. Before transitioning to the financial services industry, Jesse was a 12th-grade English teacher and a legal assistant for law firms, where she worked in general litigation and insurance defense. Most recently, she served as the Area Director for the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In this role, she led initiatives to promote mental health awareness, planned fundraising events, and advocated for improved suicide prevention resources.

At HB Retirement, Jesse collaborates with financial advisory teams to ensure clients receive efficient, high-quality service. She helps manage incoming accounts, builds lasting relationships with clients and partners, and coordinates community service initiatives through the HB Helps Program to support local nonprofits.

Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing with a General Business Minor and a Master of Science in Secondary English Education, both from Duquesne University.

Outside of work, Jesse lives in the South Hills area with her husband, their two cats, Bunny and Henrietta, and their dog, Shiloh. In her free time, she enjoys reading, attending kettlebell classes, spending time with friends and family, and traveling to passport-required destinations. She also loves building Lego sets and indulging in cheese. One day, Jesse hopes to live in an A-frame house by a serene lake.

Oakes brings over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role at HB Retirement, which he joined in 2024. With a strong foundation as a Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual Pittsburgh and a Relationship Manager at Gateway Financial, Oakes has developed a deep insight in life insurance planning for individuals, large families, and businesses. His approach is centered around helping clients work towards securing their financial futures and create tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

Oakes’ academic background includes studies in Biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Chemistry at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he cultivated a disciplined, analytical approach to financial problem-solving.

Outside of his professional life, Oakes enjoys spending quality time with his partner Maddie and their dog, Jim. He is an avid golfer, a passionate supporter of Pittsburgh sports teams, and enjoys gathering with friends and family around a campfire.

Carla began working at HB Retirement in 2017. She has worked in the insurance and financial services industry since 1996. Her areas of experience include assisting financial advisors and client services. She studied specialized business at Duff’s Business Institute. Carla is married with four children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and traveling.
